Margherita Pizza Dip

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, roughly chopped
  • 1 loaf rustic bread, for dipping
  • Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 9-inch pie or a 8×8 square dish with baking spray, set aside.
  2. Beat cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning together and spread into the prepared pie dish.
  3. Dollop the tomato sauce over the cream cheese mixture and use a butter knife to swirl and marble the tomato sauce into the cream cheese. Sprinkle over some salt and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese and place the slices tomatoes on top and bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  5. Top with fresh basil and serve immediately with bread for dipping, enjoy!
